Check windows for ease of opening and closing Check floors for "squeaky" or soft spots Check basement floors and walls for any cracks and damp spots Check drainage on property to determine water flow away from the house Check crawl space for dryness Check ceilings for "leak" spots Consider a home warranty option Check the foundation for stability Check the roof for age, shingle "curling" or other visual signs of age Check the furnace and air conditioning unit(s) Consider paying for a "whole house inspection" by a qualified home inspector |
